Four Generations

During Memorial Day weekend we had visitors from Jason's side of the family - his mom (now known as Grandma Di), his aunt Jo and uncle Tim, and his grandparents George and Pat. It was so fun and special to have all 4 generations in the house. The weekend was spent feeding and holding babies, and eating lots of good food prepared by Di and Jo (thanks for leaving all the yummy leftovers with us - the homemade ice cream sandwiches in the freezer were a great discovery!). The family also got a crash course in the "witching hour" when they arrived in the late afternoon on Saturday.

The babies enjoyed meeting their great-grandparents and great aunt & uncle, and we enjoyed having plenty of help with the babies. In addition, Jason, Tim, and great-grandpa George spent a day creating a garden bed for me. They had to add good soil to our hard red clay, then plant flowers and mulch the bed. They were hot and muddy by the end of the day, and I was very grateful that I didn't have to do any of the work! I'll post before and after pictures soon.

Here are some photos of the babies being held...(you'll notice Lucas isn't in as many photos - that's because he was actually a good napper all weekend, unlike his sisters!)
