Haircuts

On Sunday I took the kids to my hairstylist for the first time. For the last couple of years we've had someone come to the house to cut their hair, but she's moving on and we thought the kids were ready to go to a salon for their cuts. My hairdresser has a salon out of her house, and I tried to get the kids excited about going to sit in a big salon chair.

The kids were a little uncertain when we got there, and when we asked who wanted to go first, Lucas said "Abby". With a little convincing, we got Lucas to go first while sitting on my lap. He did a great job sitting still - he has really thick hair so it took awhile. I don't have any pictures of him getting it cut, but here's one afterwards:

The girls watched carefully, and once they realized it wasn't too bad, they were ready to go. Abby sat in the chair all by herself. She loved the pink cape with the dogs on it:

Afterwards they got lollipops, got to play with Nicky's daughter's drums, and compared lollipops with little Sophie:
