So....we decided that we didn't have quite enough to do around here, and our house is now on the market. We've been casually looking for a house to buy for a few months now, since our current house is only 1200 sq ft and is a bit tight for 2 adults, 3 babies, 1 dog, and 1 cat. Unfortunately, we've discovered that many houses on the market are under short sale or foreclosure and won't accept offers that are contingent on the sale of our house. So, here we are with our house for sale! We have spent the last couple of weeks decluttering, cleaning, and doing yardwork, and the house is looking pretty good. It feels good to live with less clutter, and it's been great for babyproofing, but it's hard to maintain the cleanliness with our busy schedule.

uh-oh, part 2

I didn't mean to leave Abby out of yesterday's "uh-oh" post - we just didn't have any documentation yet of her new skill. Abby has learned how to get into a sitting position from an all-fours position. As with her other milestones, she has been stealthy about it. One minute she'll be on her tummy, and when we look back at her she is sitting up looking proud of herself. I tried to capture it on video today but she wouldn't do it on command.

Uh-oh

There have been some new milestones lately that are very exciting, but also making us realize we need to finish baby-proofing the house...

Look who has learned to pull up in his crib and the pack n' play. Guess it's time to lower the mattresses!

Not too happy with his new (lower) accommodations. Not sure why he pulled his arm out of his sleeve.

Kneeling at the laundry basket. Two seconds later, he pulled himself up to standing.

Zoey loves to stand and throw things out of the storage table - you just have to be ready to catch her when she starts leaning.

Lucas is crawling around like crazy now, especially to chase the dog.

Jason's trip to PA

To pick up where we left off in the last post...

Last weekend Jason went back to PA for a family reunion and celebration of his Pop's 85th birthday. He had a good time introducing Lucas to those who hadn't met him yet, and got a little taste of single parenthood (it's not easy, even with only one baby to take care of!). Lucas got to play with different aunts, uncles, and cousins, and was pretty jovial throughout the trip. Except for the sleeping part, apparently. Here are some cute pictures from the weekend:
